Murray F. Williams 1938-2025
WARREN — Murray F. Williams, 87, departed this life to reside with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, following an extended illness.
Born March 16, 1938, in Milestead, Alabama, he was the son of Bunice Williams and Alice Coleman.
Educated in the Alabama school system, Murray was employed by Copperweld Steel for 36 years as an inspector, and he owned Williams Paving Company.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball. He never met a stranger and was friendly to all.
Murray leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Annie Williams, whom he married in 1986; a son, Raymond Anthony Williams of Warren; a stepson, Alvin McMillan of Akron; sisters, Laura Graham and Theadoshia Walton, both of Alabama; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; godson, Quan Baker; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at noon Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St. SE, with viewing at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Montgomery, Alabama.
