Mary J. Meffe 1948-2025

Mary was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Jennings and the eldest of 13 children.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Meffe and the cherished mother of Kevin Meffe of Burlington, Vermont.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Theresa Thompson (Jack) of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Michael Jennings of Perryville, Missouri, Frank Jennings (Rose) of Warren, Robert Jennings (Wanda) of Bristolville, Edward Jennings of Texas, Nora McCarty of Warren, Joseph Jennings (Mary) of Warren, Elizabeth Jarvis of Wilmington, North Carolina, Judy Sadler (Carl) of Wayne Township, Julie Rogers (Art) of Warren and Margaret Jennings (Val Cleary) of Wilmington, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Meffe; her brother, Patrick Jennings; and her parents, Patrick and Mary Jennings.

Mary’s career reflected her versatility and dedication. Together with her husband Joseph, she owned and operated Joseph David’s Hairstyling for many years. She later worked at Delphi Packard Electronic Data Systems and went on to serve the community as an enrolled agent with the IRS, helping countless people with their taxes.

She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her generosity of spirit and her deep devotion to family.
