Donald W. Conway 1956-2025

Donald “Pete” was born June 23, 1956, in Warren, a son of the late Ralph and Lola Conway.

He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, where he ran track and field. After high school, he joined the United States Marines and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1976. He was a dedicated Marine and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He was a very kind and giving person. He was known to put other’s needs before his own and give help wherever it was needed. He also enjoyed playing scratchoff lottery tickets, where he would provide food and other necessities from his winnings to family and friends.

Donald “Pete” will be deeply missed by his loving sister, Patricia Metzendorf; brother, Robert J. Conway; nephews and nieces, Tom Coe, Joseph Coe, Tami Seiple, Joe Conway and Stephanie Conway; and many cousins, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great -nieces and -nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lilly Conway; brother, Ralph Conway Jr.; and nephew, Michael David Powell.

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans in Donald’s memory.
