Donald G. Varner Sr. 1930-2025
CHAMPION — Donald Grant Varner Sr., 94, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at home.
He was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Hollidays Cove, W.Va, a son of Donald R. Varner and Viola Mabel Keep.
He was a custodian at Howland schools and a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his children, Donald G. Varner Jr., Andrea L. Villasenor, Jennifer D. Henderson and James E. Varner of Warren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment is in Champion Township Cemetery.
