Cathy L. Tobias 1945-2025
WARREN — Cathy Lynn Tobias, 80, passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
She was born March 4, 1945, in Leavittsburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Pykare Gargano. She married John Joseph Tobias on April 7, 1980.
Her joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved watching wildlife. In recent years, she had excellent support from her daughter, Patricia, and her grandson, Duane “DJ.”
She is survived by her children, John Tobias, Patricia Spagnola, Anthony (Sharon) Spagnola, David (Kim) Tobias, Joseph (Karla) Spagnola, Robert (Patsy) Tobias and Traci (Donald “Root”) Spagnola-Airgood; brother, Mark (Jean) Gargano; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years, John J. Tobias; children, Deborah Burnett, Linda Miller and Michael Tobias; and brother, Jerry Gargano.
Per Cathy’s wishes, no services will be held.
She will be laid to rest with her husband in Pennsylvania.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
