Carmel A. Rinaldi 1939-2025

NILES — Carmel A. Rinaldi, 86, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, after an extended illness.

She was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Warren, the daughter of Joseph and Ann Morabito Dalessandro.

Carmel was a 1957 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. After high school, she took on various office roles with doctors and insurance agents in Niles. Carmel shifted her focus to the food industry and worked in the cafeteria at Mount Carmel School, as well as Chieffo Frozen Foods and Applewood Gardens. Her career concluded as the longtime office manager at the Trumbull Country Club before retiring.

Carmel was a member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry, Blessed Mother Society, Young at Heart and Church Women United. She also was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Prayer Group, Niles Historical Society, White House Ladies, United States Bicentennial Committee and Niles Community Suppers.

She thoroughly enjoyed crafts, most notably at Christmastime, serving and helping others. Throughout her career and service, she gained numerous friendships that lasted until her final day on Earth.

She will be sadly missed by two sons, Ronald Rinaldi of Glendale, Arizona, and Michael Rinaldi, and his wife, Amy, of Poland; and her grandson, Angelo Rinaldi.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carmel’s children extend their love and endless thanks to the many who assisted her by adding time and quality to her life in any and all manners.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where prayers will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Pope John XXIII Parish-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with Father Leo Wehrlin officiating, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
