William C. Cobb 1957-2025

WARREN — William Cardell “Bill” Cobb, 68, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, July 30, 2025. Bill will always be remembered for his generous spirit, unwavering support for others and his easygoing personality. He was a great provider to many and touched countless lives with his kindness.
Born May 20, 1957, in Warren, Bill was the son of William Bennett and Autrie Netta Cobb and remained a lifelong resident of the area. He attended Warren Western Reserve High School, where he excelled in athletics, particularly football — a sport he deeply loved.
Bill began his career at Republic Steel and later pursued his passion for football by playing with the Youngstown Hardhats. His athletic journey was cut short due to an unfortunate accident during a game in 1981, but his love for the sport never waned.
A deeply spiritual man, Bill was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Warren.
Bill had a love for old movies and was an exceptional chess player. He was also a loyal Cleveland Browns fan and always looked forward to cheering on his favorite team.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Tiairra Williams and Jermaine Carmichael; grandchildren, Dajauna (Glen) Hunter, Dana Kelson, Kadasha Kelson and Tadasha Kelson; great-grandchildren, Elijah Kelson and Bilal Hunter; brothers, Deion Bennett, Derrick Cobb, Marshall (Rosetta) Cobb and Sheldon (Jennifer) Bennett; sisters, Patricia Cobb, Darla (Douglas) Fenton and Lanette Harbin; and his lifelong best friend, Joe Robby Dawson, who was like a brother to him. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Charlene Carmichael; his sister, Felicia Bennson; and his aunt, Donna Beasley.
