Thomas Mann 1934-2025

He was born Oct. 27, 1934, in Steubenville, to Thomas Theodore Mann and Mary Tatar Mann.

Thomas was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Copperweld Steel in supervision for 15 years. He was an experienced carpenter and later owned his own construction company.

Thomas was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling in his church league. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with his family.

In addition to his parents, Thomas lost his wife and best friend, Shirley A. Bumgardner, on Aug. 3, 2012. He also was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Mann, Virginia Graham, Nick Mann and Mary Ann Ceglia.

Thomas is survived by his children, Alton (Emilia) Cooley of Newton Falls, Carla (David) Davies of Girard, Kim Morrison of South Carolina, Ted (Katie) Mann of Florida, Karen Mann (Rich Angelino) of Sheffield Lake and Randy (Darlene) Mann of Georgia. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, there are no services.

Thomas will be laid to rest next to his wife, Shirley A. Mann, in Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Armstrong Memory Care; Akeso Hospice; his nurse, Lenore; and caretakers, Marilyn Partain and Jordan Morrow.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
