Roger K. Davis Jr. 1967-2025
WARREN — Roger K. Davis Jr., affectionately known to all as “Bud,” left this world on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 58, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born March 23, 1967, in Warren, to Roger K. Davis and Lynn Rogers Davis.
Bud was a true embodiment of strength and resilience, qualities that defined his life. His journey came full circle as he passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones.
Bud was a graduate of Howland High School, where his youthful enthusiasm and determination were evident to all who knew him. Following his graduation, he embarked on a career that showcased his hardworking nature, first as a geotechnical driller for Penndrill and then as owner of Bud’s Carpet Installation. His dedication to his craft earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
A man of Christian faith, Bud lived his life guided by the principles of kindness, compassion and generosity. His spirit was as expansive as the open road he so loved to explore on his motorcycle, a pastime that brought him immense joy and freedom. Fishing was another of Bud’s passions, providing him with moments of tranquility and reflection, often shared with those he held dear. He spent much of his time with his canine companion, LeRoy.
Family was a central part of Bud’s life that brought him comfort and joy. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Tina Marie Rose Davis, and a loving father to his daughters, Lydia Frederick and Alaina Rose. His grandson, Finnley, was the light of his life, and their time spent together will forever be cherished memories. Bud was loved by his stepmother, Janet Davis, and was a cherished brother to Donna Rogers and Joe Davis, and his wife, Mary Harris. He also leaves nieces, Leah and Rae Ann; nephews, Nolan, Ian, Stevie Jr., Skylar, Joey and Jesse; and great-niece, D’Nyla: they will hold dear the courageous spirit that Bud exemplified. He also is survived by his brother, John, and sister, Tracy.
Bud was preceded in death by his father, Roger K. Davis.
He was lovingly cared for in his last days by his sister, Donna Rogers; sister-in-law, Jenna Bruce; cousins, Nikki Beckner-Litz, Tim Grimmet and Steve Beckner; and dear friends, Mark Nicholson, Cathleen Conners and Terry King.
Bud’s ability to face life’s challenges head-on while still maintaining a sense of humor and a readiness to help others was nothing short of inspirational. Bud’s generosity and spirited nature will be missed dearly by all who knew him and had the privilege of being a part of his life.
A celebration of life will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at Dority’s Club, 1438 W. Market St., Warren.
A private memorial will be held for the family at a later date.
