Richard T. Habraken 1939-2025
WARREN — Richard T. Habraken, 85, entered into eternal rest, Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at home, in the company of those he loved.
He was born Nov. 21, 1939, in Kent, the son of Joseph and Catherine Hostler Habraken.
A graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School, Richard was a hard-working and skilled union electrician with the IBEW.
An avid golfer and fisherman, he also liked to follow the Indians and Browns. His favorite activity was his heart-warming time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as with his many nieces and nephews.
Precious memories of Richard live on with his beloved wife, Carole Kostalek Habraken; his sons, Scott of Warren and Michael Habraken of Bristolville; four grandchildren, Paige Habraken and Brendan Habraken (Kayla), both of Debary, Florida, Sara McCandless (Cole) of Slippery Rock, Pa., and Justin Habraken of Kent; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Colby McCandless, both of Slippery Rock; his sister, Donna Matteson of Ashland; and his brother, Jerry Habraken of Sevierville, Tennessee.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Habraken; two sisters, Rita and Mary Catherine Taylor; and two brothers, Robert “Pete” and Bill Habraken.
