Raymond P. Carr 1939-2025

CHAMPION — Raymond P. Carr, 85, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1939, in Eldred, Pa., the son of the late Robert and Blanche Brisbee Carr.
Raymond was a 1959 graduate of Champion High School.
On Aug. 28, 1959, he married the former Carol L. Beates; they shared 57 years of marriage until her passing on April 19, 2017.
Raymond retired from Packard Electric after 30 years of service.
He attended Grace Baptist Church and was a member of the Ashtabula Steam Engine Club and Trumbull County Antique Tractor Club. Raymond was a lawn excavator for 30 years and plowed snow for four churches.
He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (Bob) Schrecengost of Mecca, Robin (Bob) Stoll of Bristolville and Raeann (Jeff) McClain, also of Bristolville; son, Robert (Michelle) Carr of Champion; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; siblings, William Carr of Warren, Flossie Olah of Severan, Maryland, and Faye Carr of Kansas City, Kansas; three grandpups; and his dog, Dolly.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Rance Carr; brothers, Del Carr and Baby Bobby; and sisters, Mabel “Mick” Hurd and Audrey Anderson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
