Philippe E. Alonso 1971-2025

WARREN — Our hearts are breaking to announce that Philippe Edward Alonso, 54, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025.

He was born Jan. 28, 1971, in Warren, the son of Paulette J. Alonso and the late Robert E. Sabatini.

Philippe attended John F. Kennedy High School and graduated from Dearborn High School in Michigan in 1989. He went on to university and earned a degree in journalism / telecommunications at Eastern Michigan University.

Philippe worked as a model for a number of years, traveling to LA, Paris and Milan before returning home, where he worked as manager / bartender and animal activist.

He enjoyed sports (the Cleveland Browns and Bernie Kosar were his favorites) and playing basketball, loved the beach, and loved spending time with family and close friends.

Philippe had a magnetic personality that could light up a room; he welcomed everyone, making everyone feel important. His brightness and spirit were contagious and he could always “keep them laughing” with his many stories that he loved to tell.

Philippe’s memory will be cherished by his mother, Paulette; his brother, William; his son, Philippe Jr.; his aunts, Patricia Landrum, Esther Mckibben (Jack) and Antoinette Alonso; and his many cousins and friends.

“My bright and beautiful boy, fly free, the ‘nighthawk’ is with you. We love you forever.”

A private family service will be held Friday, followed by a celebration of life with family and friends on Saturday.

You may donate, if you wish, to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, in Philippe’s name.
