Oscar W. Anderson 1942-2025
NILES — Oscar William Anderson, 83, died Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born May 10, 1942, in Warren, a son of Oscar Anderson Sr. and Dorothy Lee Dowdell Melvin.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1964 to 1966.
He was employed at General Motors Lordstown and was the owner of Vogue Menswear clothing store. He was a member of New Jerusalem Fellowship Church, and later, Bethel Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Johnson Anderson; children, Cedric Anderson and Cicely Anderson; and brother, John Anderson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until funeral services at noon Monday, at Greater Apostolic Faith Church.
Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.
