Mary L. Lorenzi 1929-2025

Mary was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Lost Creek, Pa., a daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette Kwedder Salokas.

She was a 1946 graduate of West Mahanoy Township High School in Shenandoah, Pa.

Mary spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family. She married Norio Lorenzi on Sept. 15, 1951, and shared 65 loving years with him, until his passing on Jan. 26, 2017.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Vincent and Joseph Salokas, along with three sisters, Baby Ann Salokas, Adele Schroebel and Isabel Opanel.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Janice Doughton, Cheryl (Jeff) Crawford, Patricia Lorenzi and Cynthia (Ray) McAnallen; son, Richard (Angela) Lorenzi; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family and friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, where a funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.

Burial will take place in All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta Township.
