Kenneth J. Flack Sr. 1938-2025

WARREN — Kenneth John Flack Sr., 87, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, Saturday evening, Aug. 23, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
Ken was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Butler, Pa., the only son of Clyde and Ann Uram Flack. A January 1956 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, he also proudly served in the Army Reserve from 1961 to 1967. He learned the trade of electrician and became a member of IBEW Local 573 in 1964.
He was a dedicated electrician until his retirement in 1996, and he loved his craft. He enjoyed sharing stories of the homes and buildings he had worked on, and especially remembered the times he placed the Christmas lights on top of the Trumbull County Courthouse.
Beyond his career, Ken enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing, traveling, and making wonderful memories on ski trips and beach vacations.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, where he volunteered on the grounds committee.
Ken also had a passion for making wine, starting from hand-picking grapes to bottling it and then sharing and enjoying it with friends and family.
Ken’s greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment with his wife of 61 years, Carol Bochniak Flack, whom he married Sept. 7, 1963; and his sons, Ken (Dorene Wojcik) of Cortland and Doug (Nadine) of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Lily, Annabel and Blaine, who held a special place in his heart; and those he loved catching up with — his cousins, neighbors and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Ken’s life. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483. Additional visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish-Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, OH 44483. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Christopher Cicero officiating.
Ken will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
