Jesse L. Jones 1944-2025

He was born May 12, 1944, in Lake Providence, Louisiana, a son of the Rev. Fred Sr. and Johnnie Bell Henderson Jones.

He was an Army and Air Force veteran.

Jesse was an electrician and retired from Ohio Edison.

He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Young Jones; son, Michael N. Jones of Chagrin Falls; daughter, Monica N. Lewis of Houghton, New York; sisters, Beatrice Merriweather of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Annie Bell Jones of Lake Providence, Louisiana; brother, Fred Jones Jr. of Warren; and three grandchildren.

Jesse was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church, with a service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Park.
