Ilona C. Amon-Booth 1951-2025

BROOKFIELD — Ilona C. Amon-Booth, 74, was received by her beloved Richard, as she passed from this life Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, while a patient at O’Brien’s Healthcare Center, Masury, Ohio, following a period of declining health.
Ilona was born on Jan. 4, 1951, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter to Charles and Esther M. Bertolasio Amon.
She graduated from Joseph Badger High School in 1970 and worked over 17 years as a nurse’s aide for the Trumbull County Nursing Home, Brookfield.
Ilona was a member of the Church Hill United Methodist Church, Liberty Township, Ohio.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading. Additionally, she was an animal lover like no other and was a proud advocate for their protection. She had a kind heart and will be truly missed.
Survivors include her sister, Paula Kirby (Gary) of Girard; brother, Christopher C. Amon of Hubbard; niece and goddaughter, Stacy Patterson (Dave) and her children, Travis and Tory; and special niece, Aimee Kirby (Benn).
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Richard G. Booth, whom she married June 3, 1995, and who passed Dec. 12, 2022; brother, Bruce Amon; and sister, Claudia Amon.
In accordance with her wishes, a private viewing was held.
She was laid to rest with her husband, Richard, in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
