Gloria A. Gower 1951-2025

WARREN — Gloria A. Sayers Gower, 74, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, after a brave battle with dementia.
She was born Feb. 21, 1951, in Warren, a daughter of the late Marvin and Ann Duchnak Sayers.
Gloria graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1969, where she studied cosmetology. For 13 years, she was a stay-at-home mom. (It was her favorite job.)
She was employed at Johnson Rubber Company for over 20 years and graduated from TCTC as a trained medical assistant in 2011.
She was an active member of Life Church (Leavittsburg Church of God), where she served every time the doors were open, in multiple areas of the ministry.
If you knew her, you knew that her kids and her family were her life. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling. Gloria was an avid photo taker (the family photographer); she didn’t miss any special moments.
Loving memories of Gloria will be forever cherished by her children, sons, Stan (Nancy) Spina of Holland, Michigan, and Mark (Jennifer) Spina of Cortland, and daughter, Nicolle (David) Launiere of Grand Haven, Michigan.
Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Marissa (Danny) Mate, Ashley Spina, Kristin (Josh) Pastoria, Mark Spina Jr. and Alex and Isabella DiCenso; and great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Jordynn, Armonii and Neno.
She will continue to be celebrated by her siblings, Donna (Ron) Perkins of Warren, Desiree (Scott) Sorber of North Ridgeville, Michele (Mike) Kurtzman of Howland, Joe Sayers of Warren; and brother-in-law, Stan Petrick of Champion; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ann Sayers; her husband, Hayward K. ‘Bud” Gower; her sister; Terri Petrick; her half-brother, James Sayers; and her grandson, Anthony Spina.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at Life Church, 610 Leavitt Road, Leavittsburg, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Park.
Carl W. Hall Funeral Home is honored to assist with these arrangements.
The family requests that material contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
