Gary E. McQuaid 1942-2025

He was born May 18, 1942, in Sardis, W.Va., a son of George and Gladys Perry McQuaid.

Gary worked for Packard Electric for many years and eventually owned his own gas station / convenience store.

He married the love of his life, Joyce Bright, on April 15, 1977.

Gary leaves behind many who loved him, including his wife of 48 years, Joyce; his daughter, Belinda (Timothy) Faust of East Palestine; sons, Cary (Daris) McQuaid of Florida and Shawn Carr of Howland; a sister, Sonya (Jim) Blatchford; a brother, Louis McQuaid; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Gary was predeceased by his parents; a son, David McQuaid; and a daughter, Stacy Carr.

The family asks that donations be made in honor of Gary to dementia and Alzheimer’s research.

Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, with the funeral at noon, at Crown Hill Burial Park Chapel and Mausoleum.

Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
