Dorothy Blake 1946-2025
								NILES — Dorothy Lipka Blake, 78, formerly of Vienna, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at her residence.
Dorothy was born Oct. 2, 1946, in Youngstown, the daughter of Martin and Mary Merrick Lipka.
Dorothy graduated in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in education from Youngstown State University and the University of Tennessee in 1977 with a master’s degree. She then worked for 30 years as a teacher for the Liberty school system, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of the Lake Milton Boat Club and the Trumbull County Retired Teachers Association.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her nieces, Stacie (Nolan) Cubellis, Paula (Art) Hall and Laura (Michael) Brennan; nephews, Gregory (Michelle) Lipka, David (Rachael) Webster and Todd (Tara) Wolf; great-nieces, Mallory Cubellis, Elyce Lipka, Davon and Keeley Webster, and Kennedy and Mara Hall; and great-nephews, Elia Cubellis, Kaison Lipka, and Oscar, William and Patrick Brennan; and her sisters-in-law, Donna Wear, Barbara Wolf and Alice Webster.
Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Blake, whom she married June 24, 1978, and who passed March 27, 2006; and her brother, George Lipka.
A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Dorothy’s wishes were that any memorial contributions be made to the person’s charity of choice.
