Myretta A. Waltenbaugh 1936-2025
JOHNSTON — Myretta Ann Waltenbaugh, 89, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was born June 9, 1936, to the late Robert and Sarah Deer Montgomery.
Myretta was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved and cherished her family. She was an avid gardener of both vegetables and flowers that she loved to share. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, doll collecting, sewing and crafting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin R. Waltenbaugh; her parents; and siblings, Peggy, Chris, Char, Bob and Avis.
She is survived by her sister, Sally; her daughters, Dei (Tony) Bilunka and Karen Boyd; grandchildren, Chris, Cody, Amanda, Missy, Steven, Kenny, Jack and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Anasia, Charlie and Rayleigh; and numerous extended family members.
Per the family’s wishes, there are no funeral services scheduled at this time. A memorial dinner is planned.
