Marlyne J. Young 1939-2025

She was born on Nov. 9, 1939, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, to the late Beuford Bailey and Marcela Saul Bailey.

Marlyne would graduate from Lordstown High School in 1957 and marry the love of her life, the late Robert B. Young, on Jan. 31, 1959. She would become a homemaker and would go on to raise two children, Robert and Michael Young.

Marlyne was a bright light in this world who loved going to car shows with her husband, tending to her garden, flowers, trips to the casino and bingo.

Marlyne is survived by her children, Robert (Cari) Young and Michael (Cheryl) Young; her grandchild, Trisha Abbatte; and great-grandchildren, Robert Young and Tyler Bird. She is also survived by a sister, Gloria Keller.

Marlyne was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her siblings, Dot Atkins, Shirley Bowman, Roland Bailey, Warren Bailey, Chuck Bailey and Walter Bailey.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, at William Nicholas Funeral Home, with a service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at William Nicholas Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Kerr Cemetery.
