Larry Raines 1953-2025

Larry was born in Petersburg, W.Va., on Dec. 15, 1953, the son of the late Michael and Ruby Lough Raines.

He attended Warren G. Harding High School.

Larry was employed at Saramar Aluminum and General Motors Lordstown, then retired as a plumber in 2022.

He enjoyed playing the lottery, watching old “Gunsmoke” Westerns, camping, fishing and eating ice cream.

Larry is survived by his two sons, Michael (Stacy) Raines and Shawn (Donna) Raines; four grandchildren, Jagger, Jazlyn, Bradley and Allie; two sisters, Debbie Falatic and Candace Swindler; two brothers, Terry and Fred Raines; and many nephews, nieces and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Raines; his niece, Danielle Raines; and his beloved pet, a sugar glider, Lola.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Leavittsburg Baptist Church, 4150 Kincaid Road NW, Warren, OH 44481.
