Katherine Rust 1946-2025
WARREN — Katherine Rust passed away Friday, July 4, 2025, after a brief stay at Hospice House.
Kathy was born April 24, 1946, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Klein Rust.
Very little information is known about Kathy’s early life, but she had several siblings, including Wayne, Donald, Kenneth and James Rust, with whom she kept in contact.
Kathy came to her home at Gateways to Better Living Inc. in 2006 after being a resident of the Youngstown Developmental Center.
Kathy had many supportive roommates, staff and managers who became family.
Kathy was quiet and liked to watch television, participate in arts and crafts and go on outings with her fellow housemates. Kathy will be missed greatly by all of those that had the pleasure of her company, especially her Gateways housemates and caregivers.
A prayer service and viewing will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, Warren.
