Janet M. Armitstead 1934-2025
WARREN — Janet Marie Armistead passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at Windsor House at Champion. She was 90 years old.
Janet was born Dec. 21, 1934, in Greensburg, Pa., the daughter of Lewis Taylor and Martha Gearhart Taylor. She was a 1953 graduate of Lordstown High School.
Janet retired from Cox Lithograph, the former Falls Printing, in the binding department. She also worked for Superior Printing.
Mrs. Armistead was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Janet loved being at home with her family.
Her husband, Charles William Armistead, whom she married Sept. 30, 1954, passed away in 1959.
She is survived by two sons, William (Judith) Armistead of Warren and Danny (Sherrie) Armistead of Champion; a daughter, Pamela (Cliff) Baker of Lordstown; 12 grandchildren, Eric, Josh, Keith, Shaun, Steve, Stephanie, Theresa, Cliff, Bobby, Joey, Dave and Shelly; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by two daughters, Sherry Lee Taylor and Brenda Lee Glenn; and a sister, Roberta Thompson.
