Harry ‘Bill’ Austin 1947-2025
WARREN – Harry “Bill” Austin, 79, passed away Monday morning, July 28, 2025, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
Bill was born Jan. 15, 1947, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of the late Argle and Lucille Austin.
He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served his country in Vietnam.
He worked as a quality assurance manager at Specialty Pipe and Tube.
He was a member of the Trumbull County Traffic Club and the Warren Men’s Bowling Association. He loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed boating, fishing and golfing in various leagues. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He often could be found teaching them to golf, ride their bikes and play the guitar.
Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Terri Austin, whom he married Sept. 21, 2018; daughters, Christine (Tom Powell) Agona and Lorri (Scott Gilbert) Agona; grandchildren, Randi (Aaron), Brianna, Jakob (Lexie), Chloe, Matthew, Bailey, Aiden, Eliana, Elijah, Ze’Najah and Zahari; great-grandchildren, Ava, Ariana, Lee, Silas, Amir and Aaliyah; and his siblings, Robert Austin, Alvin Austin and Ella (Anthony) Ellis.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Austin, whom he married March 21, 1969, and who passed away April 11, 2015.
Family and friends may visit 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
