George E. Gordon Sr. 1938-2025
BRISTOLVILLE — George Eugene Gordon Sr., 87, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at his home, with his family by his side.
He was born Jan. 29, 1938, in Beaver Falls, Pa., the son of the late Hiram Gordon and the late Margaret Mitchell Gordon.
George was a retired supervisor. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
George enjoyed deer hunting in Sanford, Pa., and had many deer camp stories to share and would say “what happens at deer camp, stays at deer camp”. He was a member of the Warren Gun Club, a lifetime member of the Airedale Terrier Club of Northern Ohio, an AKC Judge for Airedale Terrier Club of America, and also showed dogs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Gordon; sons, George (Debi) Gordon Jr., John W. “Jack” (Bill Foos) Gordon and Sean E. (Michele) Gordon; grandchildren, Amanda (Dave) Mickel and Lia Ritzler; and great-grandchildren, Avery and Tyson Mickel and Collins and Mac Ritzler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Gordon, Gail Gordon, Frances Gordon and Valla Gordon.
No services will be held, per his wishes.
The family kindly requests any material contributions be made to the Bristol Fire Department, 2100 Greenville Road NW, Bristolville, OH 44402, in his memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
