Betty Lou Malys 1936-2025

She was born April 16, 1936, in Kinsman, the daughter of Inez M. Arnold and Omar Kidwell.

She married Robert Malys, who passed away Nov. 8, 2022, after 67 years of marriage.

Betty enjoyed horse track racing and snowmobiling at her home in Michigan. She lived on the family farm in Cortland before she and Bob built their home in Bristolville. She retired from Packard Electric.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert Malys; five sisters, Marjorie Wade, Ruby Stredney, Dorothy McBride, Mary Leslie and Sara Kidwell; seven brothers, Bernard, Leo, Omar “Junior,” Lawrence “Tink,” Merle, W. Duane and Robert Kidwell; and her brother-in-law, Bernard Malys.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lily Malys, and by several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2025, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 11 a.m. All who knew and loved Betty are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.

Interment will follow in All Souls Cemetery.
