Viola M. Mealy 1930-2025

Viola was born April 14, 1930, in Warren, the daughter of the late Joseph J. Ellis and the late Blanch Nastal Ellis. She was a lifelong resident of Warren.

Viola graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in June 1948 and married Robert L. Mealy on Oct. 22, 1949. Viola was a homemaker and a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling and spending her winters in Arizona.

Viola is survived by her two daughters, Kathy (Dr. James) Davis of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Lisa (Larry) Pernicka of Scottsdale, Arizona; her son, Robert J. Mealy of Glendale, Arizona; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Mealy; two daughters, Linda Morgan and Debra Huffman; and her sister, Rose Montecalvo.

A memorial Mass will be July 19, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Cemetery.
