Thomas A. Terpin 1953-2025

VIENNA — Thomas “Tom” A. Terpin, 72, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, from an extended illness.

He was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Barton, New York, to August J. Terpin and Rosemary K. Kesnowski Terpin.

Tom graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1971, where he played football.

Tom retired from Delphi Packard Electric in Warren after 35 years of service. He then drove school bus for the Mathews school district for 15 years.

Tom was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in the community. He was an avid photographer for Mathews school sports.

Tom loved camping, canoeing and being outdoors. He helped others by donating his rare blood type, O negative, through the American Red Cross.

Saying he will be missed is an understatement; there isn’t a kid or parent in the Fowler / Vienna community who doesn’t have a picture this man took. He will forever be remembered as that “awesome bus driver” or the “guy down on the field” taking those famous pictures.

He is survived by his wife, Susan A. Richeal Terpin; son, Steven Terpin; brothers, David Terpin and James (Shari) Terpin; sisters, Nancy (Jim) Miller, Kathy (Brady) Dowell and Helen Boggs; and father-in-law, Lee C. Richeal.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Terpin.

Per Tom’s request, there will be no services.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future.

Inurnment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.

The family would like to thank the staff in the SICU at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for their care and compassion given to him and his family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
