Sheryl L. Mort 1954-2025

She was born July 24, 1954, in Warren.

Sheryl was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was a person full of compassion, working at Cortland Quality Care for 24 years until she retired. She enjoyed bingo, flea markets and traveling with friends to the Bloomfield Auction.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary A. Mort Sr.; son, Gary A. Mort Jr.; parents; brother, Thomas Pierce; and nephew, Scott Mort.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (William) Culver; grandsons, Jake Watson, Jayden Mort and James Watson; special friend, Pam Wells; and other aCalling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2025, at Lane Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St., Cortland, OH 44410, with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m.
