Robert W. Mook Jr. 1934-2025

CHAMPION — Robert Willis Mook Jr., 91, of Champion, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at his home.

He was born April 14, 1934, in Youngstown, a son of the late Robert W. Mook Sr. and the late Martha V. Bartle Mook. He married Sandra A. Wiles on Jan. 29, 1966.

Robert was a 1952 graduate of Liberty High School and was employed as a byproduct analyst at Packard Electric for over 25 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War.

Robert was a member of Pleasant Valley Church and was part of the Share Outreach. He was an avid blood donor. He enjoyed visiting and chatting with people at nursing homes, riding his Harley and bowling. Robert also liked to spend time working in his yard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sandy A. Mook of Champion; daughters, Diane (Robert) Leganza of Florida, Debra Wolf of Cortland, Cheryl (Brian (deceased)) Joiner of Washington; son, Robert (Colleen) W. Mook III of California; brother, Jim Mook of South Carolina; sister, Patricia Best of Montana; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Moorehead; and brothers, William and George Mook.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Carol Yablonovsky will officiate.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. June 7, 2025, at the funeral home.

Inurnment will take place at a later date in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
