Randy Seiple 1958-2025

WARREN — Randy Seiple, 67, died Monday, May 12, 2025, at his home.

He was born March 10, 1958, to the late George Seiple and late Bonnie Seiple Calvert.

He graduated from Warren Western Reserve High School in 1976 and joined the U.S. Army. Stationed in Germany, he became a demolitions officer and heavy equipment operator.

Randy was employed as a truck driver and a property manager. He was also self-employed as a remodeling contractor. After retirement, he served on the groundskeeping and maintenance crew at the Moose Lodge.

Randy achieved the title of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts, as did his father. He remained active in the organization as an adult, leading his own troops and advising others. In order to help a prospective Eagle Scout achieve his rank, Randy mentored him by collaborating in the design and construction of a miniature golf course that enabled rehab patients to receive therapy while participating in a fun activity.

He was very involved in Trumbull Moose Lodge 186, serving for 25 years in many roles, including as chairman of the following programs: Community, Heart of the Country, Rituals, Moose Charities, Government Relations and Community Services. He held positions as trustee, sergeant-at-arms and outer guard. He was awarded the Fellowship Degree of Honor.

Randy was most proud of his work building wheelchair ramps for disabled veterans and Moose members. He also loved to cook and help prepare meals for the homeless and for special holidays at the Moose. He also personally cooked for his friends, treating them to wonderful meals while trying out new recipes.

Randy especially loved the outdoors and trout fishing, enjoying both during visits to his grandparents’ family farm in West Virginia.

He is survived by daughter, Sarah (John) Picray, and granddaughters, Alexis, Morgan, Emily and Eleanor, all of Marion, Iowa. He is also survived by a sister, Jackie (Robert) Bell of Shady Shores, Texas; niece, Stacey (Jeremy) Rowland; great-nephews, Ian, Toby and Wyatt Rowland, all of McKinney, Texas; niece, Allison (Tim) Hartman; great-niece, Elizabeth; great-nephews, Thomas and Jonathan Hartman, all of Loveland, Colorado; and niece, Christina (Antoine) Bell of Lewisville, Texas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nannette Seiple of Vienna.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Flag Day, Saturday, June 14, at the Moose Lodge, 674 Main Ave., Warren, with Boy Scout participation.

Interment will follow at a family memorial service in West Virginia this summer, beside a little white church overlooking a peaceful valley.
