Mary Ann Mazey 1937-2025

WARREN — Mary Ann Mazey, 88, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2025, at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.

Mary Ann was born April 2, 1937, in Warren, a daughter of Michael and Frances Swatko Bufano.

Mary Ann was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Ronald Mazey, in 1959. Following their marriage, Mary Ann and Ron moved to Pasadena, California, where Mary Ann worked for Jurgansen’s Gourmet Grocery, then in the accounting department at The Bank of America, and then for Ron’s own business, Mazey’s Pool Service.

Moving back to Warren in 1974, Mary Ann worked as a receptionist for Warren Steel Specialty, retiring in 1990.

Outside of work, Mary Ann was a parishioner of St. James Catholic Church. She was a proud homemaker and adored her children and grandchildren. Mary Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary Ann will always be remembered by her children, Mary Jane Nasonti of Farmington, Michael (Debbie) Mazey of Cortland and David (Heather) Mazey of Garrettsville; grandchildren, Christopher Nasonti, Michael (Peiwen) Mazey, Ryan (Abigail) Mazey, Zachary Mazey, Morgan (Hunter) Bigham and Andrew Mazey; great-grandchildren, Paisley, Beaux, Lucas and Natalie; sister-in-law, Patricia Nazam of Nevada; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ronald Mazey; granddaughter, Melana Matson; sister, Louise Carey, and brother-in-law; Robert “Gene” Mazey; as well as her mother- and father-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Ann Mazey.

Per Mary Ann’s wishes, her family honored her with private services and a private burial in All Souls Cemetery.
