Kathleen M. Nelson 1942-2025

Kathy was born Oct. 7, 1942, in New Castle, Pa. She knew how to work hard, to have fun and provide fun for others, to be a friend and to make those around her feel they were special to her. For many years Kathy was employed by Weiner, Suit & Coury, where she provided exemplary and compassionate support in multiple locations for attorneys, other staff and the many clients served.

She was a woman of strong faith who was generous, loving and creative, who inspired all around her and was always willing to learn something new.

Kathy loved baseball, was a devoted Pittsburgh Pirates fan, a charter member of the Tuff Love Fan Club and cherished her dogs, Elvis and Buck.

She is survived by her grandson, Nash Nelson of St.Cloud, Florida; her sisters, Pat (Jim) Bryan of Coral Springs, Florida, Sally (Paul) Latsko of Beaver Falls, Pa., Lin (Bill) Smith of Tyler, Texas, and Diane (Rick) Reiber of New Wilmington, Pa.; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many longtime friends, including Linda and Joey Salvatara, and Bobby Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Nelson; parents, Thomas J. and Helen M. McCann; former husband, Don Nelson; her sister, Sue (Jim) Harlan; and lifelong friend, Dick Gallagher.

Her legacy will be one of love, ingenuity and service.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
