Irene M. Prusak 1933-2025

She was born May 7, 1933, in Vernon, the daughter of Web and Mary Flowers Rising.

Irene married Ed Prusak on Feb. 9, 1981, and they were married for 42 years before his passing, Jan. 27, 2023.

She worked at Loblaws for many years and at Schwebel’s Thrift Store, retiring from there.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Marilyn (Lewis) Monti of Cortland; grandsons, Ryan (Ellen) Monti, Kevin (Marlea) Monti and Michael (Heather) Lauer; and five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Louie, Laney, Mila and Maeve.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Suzanne Lauer.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Westview Cemetery, Vernon Township.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
