Denise A. Purdy 1959-2025

She was born May 5, 1959, in Warren, the daughter of the late Edward Moore and Edith Mae Johnston Moore.

Denise lived in Newton Falls all her life and graduated from Newton Falls High School, Class of 1977.

She married the love of her life, Gary Alan Purdy, on July 24, 1984, and they enjoyed almost 41 years of marriage together.

Denise was a wonderful housewife and raised two beautiful children.

Denise worked for a few years at Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools as a bus driver, custodian and cafeteria worker.

She enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean, keeping a clean and tidy house, and was an avid Northwestern NCAA college football fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Edith Moore.

Denise is survived by her husband, Gary A. Purdy of Newton Falls; two sons, Matthew and Leann Purdy of Lake Milton, and Gregory and Angelica Purdy of Warren; one sister, Vicky Jones of Southington; one brother, Craig Moore of Newton Falls; one stepbrother, Brian and Lisa Geddes of Warren; and four grandchildren, Tyler, Sophia, Kaiden and Persephone.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be at a later date and time.
