Carol A. Waite 1945-2025

Born Sept. 29, 1945, in Sharon, Pa., she was the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Sillman Vogel. Carol married her beloved husband, Dr. Robert M. Waite, on Sept. 15, 1973; they were married 45 years at the time of his passing in 2019.

Strong in her faith, Carol was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, where she served as the former Elder, Deacon and Trustee for several years. She was also a member of the Decorative Painters Society and the Auxiliary to the Ohio Osteopathic Association. In her spare time, Carol was a talented painter and quilter, and enjoyed reading and traveling.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David (Nicole) Simons of Flagstaff, Arizona, Jeffrey Simons of Findlay and her daughter, Carolyn (Mark) Barner of Burghill; her brother, David (Joey) Vogel of Youngstown; several grandchildren; stepdaughter, Linda (Marland) Lout of Metairie, Luisiana; and stepson, David (Jennifer) Waite of Kinsman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dr. Robert Waite.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Kinsman Cemetery, with Pastor Susan Frances officiating.
