Carlene Ross 1945-2025

Carlene was born June 22, 1945, in Warren, a daughter of Dominic and Josephine DiLoreto DeMauro. Carlene was a 1963 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Warren.

She began work at Second National Bank, where she met her husband, James Ross. The two later owned two motels together in Ocean City, Maryland, then enjoyed a well deserved retirement in Florida.

Carlene was a great cook and she enjoyed reading. She cherished her friends and family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Carlene will always be remembered by her daughter, Robyn (David) Wahnschaffe of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; son, J. Bradley Ross of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and grandchildren, Benjamin and Alexander Wahnschaffe.

Besides her parents, Carlene was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, James Ross; brother, James J. DeMauro; and sister, Donna Wyko.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Carlene 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
