Willard B. Porter 1946-2025
WARREN – Willard B. Porter, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at his home.
He was born May 14, 1946, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the son of the late George and the late Mary Boggs Porter.
On Aug.14, 1971, he married Lynda Higgins.
He was a crane operator at WCI. Willard enjoyed gardening, landscaping and carpentry.
Willard is survived by his daughter, Peggy (Thomas) Carmichael of Warren; stepson, Charles (Rhonda) Porter of Hueytown, Alabama; stepdaughter, Tammy Hobbs of Alabama; brother, Gary Porter of Niles; sister, Vada Sue Bledsoe of Niles; grandchildren, Keith, David and Sean; and great-grandchildren, Hayden, Zoey and Evelyn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Higgins Porter; brothers, Lester Porter and Wade Porter; and sisters, Ester Porter-Barker, Hazel Conn, Clara Reynolds, June Conn, Nellie Gilliam, Jewell Tomlin and Joyce Anne Porter.
A private service will be held.
Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Township.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
