Nancy L. Myers 1941-2025
JOHNSTON — Nancy L. Myers, 84, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born Jan. 15, 1941, in Sharon, Pa., a daughter of the late William V. Hoskin and Mary L. Guthrie Wishart.
She was a 1959 graduate of Hartford High School. In 2019, she was able to meet up with her classmates at their 60-year reunion. She worked at Sunrise Inn in the early ’70s before starting at Packard Electric / Delphi in 1972, where she worked for 30 years and retired in 2002.
In her younger years, she loved to go roller skating with her friends. She loved being with her family, playing cards and just being together. Everywhere her family took her, she never knew a stranger.
Nancy will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her, including her children, Mary Ellen Ford, Cindy (Ray) Montoya and Annette (Art) Perrine; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Pearl (Jim) Bartlett and Janet (Leo) Gerasimick. She had a special bond with her great-grandson, Findley Stone, who loved to be with her, play cards and tell her stories.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Raymond Wishart; her husband, Howard Myers, whom she married April 2, 1977, and who passed away in 2018; two sons, Carl D. Komsie at two days old, and Douglas E. Komsie Jr.; sister, Ruth Ann Hoskin; and brothers, Richard, Frederick, Harry and Thomas Hoskin.
Family and friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday June 3, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St. in Cortland. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Sager Memorial Cemetery in Bristol Township.
