Melissa M. White 1981-2025

She was born on Dec. 19, 1981, in Alliance, the daughter of Wesley Hall White and Phyllis Ann Forst Leyman.

Melissa attended Southeast High School and lived in Lake Milton for many years. She loved writing, playing softball, basketball, golf, spending time with her family and friends, and loved animals, especially her cat Domino.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Phyllis and Mark Leyman of Lake Milton; one sister, Jamie White of Newton Falls; one brother, Jason White of Lake Milton; and two stepsisters, Lisa Leyman of Newton Falls, Jessica and Jason Hileman of Howland.

Melissa is preceded in death by her father, Wesley White; and her grandmother, Betty Forst.

The family will be receiving friends for calling hours from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls.

There will be no funeral services. Cremation will follow the calling hours.

She will be laid to rest at Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield.
