Gwendolyn L. Richman 1935-2025
BRISTOLVILLE — Gwendolyn Louise Richman, 90, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at Hospice of Miami County.
She was born Jan. 3, 1935, in Warren, a daughter of the late Howard Shumaker and the late Mary Daymond Shumaker. On May 12, 1956, she married Arthur L. Richman, and they spent the next 40 years together until his passing in 1996.
Gwendolyn was a graduate of Warren Business College and went on to work as a secretary at Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District. She enjoyed her card club, bowling and watching races, the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Danette (William) Gioiello of Tipp City; grandchildren, Douglas (Whitney) Gioiello, Matthew Gioiello, Danya (Wes) Miller, Madison (Andrew) Kern; her great-grandchild, Brooks Dean Miller; and sisters, Darlene Fiest of Bristolville and Marlene Fiest of Bakersfield, California; as well as longtime friends Enid Mills and Marlene Hillman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur Leroy Richman; sons, Dennis and Douglas Richman; and. brothers-in-law, Fred Fiest and Ruben Blunt.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. on June 4, 2025, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Shirley Frantz will officiate. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bristolville.
