George E. Knepper 1951-2025
POOLER, Ga. — It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George Knepper Sr., formerly of Warren, a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather and treasured uncle. He passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, on Friday, May 23, 2025.
George was his family’s unwavering foundation, strength, steady hand and greatest supporter. He carried his loved ones through life’s challenges with quiet courage and constant love. As a husband, he adored his wife, Margaret, and stood by her side with enduring devotion. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter and constant support. As a father, grandfather, uncle and son, he was always present, willing to listen, showering those with wisdom; he could make you laugh no matter the situation.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Margaret Miller Knepper; son, George Knepper Jr.; daughters, Tiffany Knepper, Maggie and Katie Knepper; and youngest daughter and son in-law, Teresa and Joshua McCurry; sister, Jodi Minotti; sister and brother in-law, Debbie and Mike Fife; sister, Madalyn Tomlin; and brother, Bobby Knepper; nephew, Charles Miller III; and nieces, Athena Knepper-Matlock, Audra, Eileen and Noreen Javersak, and Ashley van Dyke; great-nephew, Malik; and great-niece, Mina; and grandchildren, Eunessa, Brandon, Nathaniel, Cassidy, Jenna, Lia, Joshua and Leland.
George was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Mae Ferris; brothers, Kenny and Johnny; sister, Patty; niece, Lisa; and granddaughter, Alesha.
Funeral arrangements through Low Country Cremation and Burial in Reedsville, Georgia, with no services.
