Dennis J. Sirko 1941-2025
WARREN — Dennis J. Sirko, 83, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Windsor House of Champion, surrounded by his family.
He was born Nov. 9, 1941, in Johnstown, Pa., the son of Adolph and Cecelia Popchak Sirko. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School and proudly served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division.
Dennis married Nancy Waclo on Aug. 20, 1966, and they were married for 49 years until her passing on Sept. 10, 2015.
He worked at GM Lordstown from its inception until his retirement in July 1997. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and later St. John Paul II Parish. He was proud of his Slovak heritage and was a member and officer of the Slovak Club. He was also an official for basketball, baseball and softball. He loved all things Pittsburgh — Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and also Penn State (We Are!).
Dennis leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Pamela Chrisopoulos and her husband, John, and Melissa Seese; two grandchildren, Tommy Seese and Mason Thomas; and one great-grandchild, Aubrey Seese.
Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Barry and Adolph Sirko.
Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will be held at 6 p.m.
Dennis will be laid to rest in All Souls Cemetery at a later date.
