Connie A. Brandt 1966-2025
NILES – Connie Ann Brandt, 58, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, May 25, 2025, at her home, with her family at her side following a long battle with cancer.
Connie was born on July 30, 1966, in Youngstown, the daughter of Robert K. and Verneen E. Welch O’Neil and has lived in this area all her life.
Connie was a 1984 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a member of St. Pope John XXIII-St. Stephen Church. Connie was active at St. Stephen Church and School, she was a teacher for Vacation Bible School, the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) program and the afterschool program. She was a member of the Niles Catholic Women’s Club and, for many years, she was the caregiver to her mother who lived with her.
Connie loved her sports cars and enjoyed riding the Harley motorcycle with her husband, Erik, along with gardening around her home. She maintained a very positive Christian attitude even when life was difficult.
Connie is survived by her husband, Erik Brandt, whom she married Aug. 24, 2001; two daughters, Shannon (Jacob) Danes of Austintown, Rachel Tarr and Evan Landgraff of Niles; son, Christopher Brandt and Allyssa Micsky of Niles; mother, Verneen O’Neil of Niles; sister, Patti (Rodney) Remsey of Howland; niece, Rileigh Remsey.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday May 29, 2025, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, at St. Stephen Church, preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home. The Rev. Bala Marneni will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Girard City Cemetery.
