Clifton D. Jones 1953-2025
WARREN — Clifton DeWayne Jones, 71, a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away suddenly, Saturday, May 17, 2025. His loss was completely unexpected and his family is profoundly saddened.
Clifton was born Dec. 13, 1953, in Warren, the son of the late Joseph W. Frazier and Bessie Jones Frazier.
Clifton graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1972 and was selected to attend the distinguished electrician program at Bell and Howard Trade School in Southern Ohio. He retired in 2010 after a long and rewarding career as an electrician. He was a proud member of IBEW 573 and Laborers Local 935.
He was a member of Restoration Christian Fellowship Church and loved to travel, fish, and spend time with family and friends.
Clifton is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Marie L. Jones; his beloved mother, Bessie Jones Frazier; three sons, Kenny L. Chaney of Warren, Clifton D. Jones Jr. of Cleveland and Charles Evans of Warren; one daughter, Denettra Chisholm (Delfun) of Cleveland; three brothers, Joseph W. Frazier Jr. of Ontario, California, and Lynwood Frazier and Derrick Frazier (LaToya), both of Warren; four sisters, Gardenia Frazier and Deborah Bennet, both of Warren, and Satoris Goode (Oscar) of Opelika, Alabama, and Gail Puckett of Chicago, Illinois; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends who remember him fondly and will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph W. Frazier; and two brothers, Gerald A. Frazier and James “Sterl” Frazier.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Restoration Christian Fellowship Church, 760 Main Ave. SW, Warren, with services immediately following, with Bishop Joseph Walker Jr. officiating. All who knew and loved Clifton are welcome to attend and celebrate his incredible life.
