Mildred I. Waggoner 1946-2025

SOUTHINGTON — Mildred I. Waggoner, 79, passed away peacefully into eternal rest, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 28, 1946, in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Ralph Henry Bell and Edith Edna Phillips Bell.

Mildred married the love of her life, John C. Waggoner, on Aug. 14, 1978; they enjoyed the past 46 years of marriage together. She had lived in Southington since 1966 and was formerly of Paris Township. Mildred loved being a housewife, gardening, quilting and fostering over 60 children.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, ttwo sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her husband, John C. Waggoner of Southington; six daughters, Dawn (Christopher) Miller of Champion, Amanda Waggoner, of Liberty, Joanna Waggoner of Warren, Kaytlin Waggoner, also of Warren, Rachel Waggoner of Southington and Renee Waggoner, also of Southington; five sons, Larry Sabol of Southington, Scott Sabol, also of Southington, Christopher Waggoner of Warren, Vincent Waggoner, also of Warren and Luke Waggoner of Southington; one sister, Shirey (Lee) Bishop of Southington; two brothers, Lester (Ruth) Bell of Cambridge and Lenny (Cheryl) Bell of Paris Township; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be 3 p.m., with calling hours 2 to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2025, at The River Church, 4257 Tod Ave., Warren, OH 44485, with pastor William Carter officiating.

The family has requested that donations be made to the church in Mildred’s memory.
