Diane Monte Calvo 1961-2025

She was born Sept. 5, 1961, in Warren, the daughter of the late Ruth Costello Monte Calvo and Nick J. Monte Calvo.

Diane was a graduate of Howland High School Class of 1979. She worked as a clerk at the United States Postal Service in Youngstown, which began her long and successful career there. She became a postmaster in 2008 at the Bloomfield Post Office. Diane continued to advance her knowledge and skills at the Leavittsburg, Cortland, and finally, the Brookfield post offices. She retired after three years at the Brookfield office with 40 years of service to the USPS.

Everywhere Diane went, she made friends, worked hard and shared the love of Jesus with people. She was a woman of strength and truth, the type of person you wanted on your side.

Diane enjoyed her job and liked to garden. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Rachel E. and Maria A. Vince of Warren; son, Kristopher J. Davanzo of Niles; daughter-in-law, Hailey Davanzo; and her grandchildren, Charley Renee, Jackson, Alessandra and Gabriella, all of Niles; her siblings, Denise M. (Tom) Pappas, David Monte Calvo, Nick (Denise) Monte Calvo, Joseph M. Monte Calvo, Renee M. (Joe) Powell and John J. Monte Calvo; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Costello Monte Calvo and Nick J. Monte Calvo; as well as her daughter, Karaline R. Vince.

A celebration of life service will begin at noon Saturday, April 19, 2025, at The River Church, 4257 Tod Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44485, with Pastor Mikel Largaras officiating.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday at the church.

Daisies were Diane’s favorite flower.
