Barbara Dann 1932-2025

Bubba was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Charleroi, Pa., a daughter of John S. and Mary Krempasky Palonder.

Bubba was a 1950 graduate of Howland High School. Besides being a proud homemaker, she worked at Ohio Lamp and then the Elm Road McDonald’s for many years.

Bubba was a 50 year member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren, where she was a kindergarten and Sunday school teacher, cantor, choir member and member of the ladies guild.

Bubba enjoyed planting flowers and listening to polka music. She enjoyed reminiscing with family and friends, especially about the time she won a Shirley Temple lookalike contest as a child.

Most of all, Bubba loved and cherished her family. As her family grew, she was always excited to welcome the newest generation by singing nursery rhymes to her grandchildren. She was very proud of the fact that at one point there were five generations living at one time.

Bubba’s legacy will always be cherished and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bubba will always be remembered by her daughter, Linda (David) Gilmore of Warren; grandchildren, Randy Jr. (Rachele) Keller of Cortland, Ryan (Courtney) Keller of Canton, Rachele (Steve Jr.) Cresanto of Mogadore and Jenna (Jason) Stan of Streetsboro; grandchildren, Austin, Addison, Lucas, Isabella and Paul Keller, Riley Keller, Madison and Logan Stan, and Chloe Cresanto; sister, Marlene Steinbeck; and lots of loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Bubba was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Samuel Dann, whom she married Oct. 3, 1953, at St. Cyril and Methodius Church; her son, Danny Dann; and her daughter, Renee Dann.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Bubba 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish-Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, OH 44483.

A funeral Mass will follow 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bubba’s name to St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, 3020 Reeves Road NE, Warren, OH 44483.
